Who bring on Oath say and first the said Hurry Barlow< no role >
says, that
on Wednesday night last he took the Hackney Coach No. 506 at Temple
Bar and drove to Nicholeon's Office in Cornhall
, and on getting
out, missed a Lottery Ticket No.18189 now produced. That he asked
the Driver (whom he believes to be Thomas Watkins< no role >
now present)
to search his Coach, which he did not this Informant assisted him,
but to no effect. That this Informant told said Watkins what
it was that he had lost in his Coach, who repeatedly denied
any knowledge thereof. That he told him the Ticket was worth
Forty pounds and that it he would produce it, or leave
it at Nicholson's Office, he should receive five Guineas so
And the said Samuel Broughton< no role >
says that being the next Morning
in Nine's Lottery Office at Temple
Bar
, he observed the said
Thomas Watking< no role >
come in and say him self the Lottery
Ticket No.18189 no produced to Mr. Sexton a Clerk in said
Office for Twenty Guineas . And the said William Carmichael< no role >
says that he was likewise present in said Shop and saw
said Thomas Watkins< no role >
sell the said Lottery Ticket to Mr.
Sexton for Twenty Guineas.
