now under Examination got
into thri Informants Waggon as his Servant was
driving it up the Old Bailey
, and says that he
this Informant saw said Prisoner pull at several
Things and at last he fixed upon and took the Deal
Box now produced and jumped out of the Waggon
with it as it was driving into the Saracens head
Inn Gateway, upon which this Informant
immediately followed the said prisoner and
Seized him with the said Box upon him, but
the said Matthewson the Prisoner struck him
many blows, and knock'd him dow upon the
Ground, and as he believes would have done him
a Mischief had not several Persons come to
his Assistance.
