The Humble Petition and Appeal
of the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Stephen in Coleman Street
London
Sheweth
That by Virtue of an Order of Pass Warrant under
the Hands and Seals of two of his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace for the said City of London
(one whereof being
of the Quorum) bearing Date the twenty first Day of
January last
Mary Smith< no role >
Singlewoman
with her
female Bastard Child aged three Years and a half for
Nurture, was removed from the Parish of Saint
Sepulchre
within the City of London
to the said Parish
of Saint Stephen in Coleman Street
as the place of her
last legal Settlement.
That your Petitioners conceive themselves aggrieved
by the said Order and Judgment of the said two Justices
and therefore humbly appeal to this Honourable Court
against the same
Your Petitioners therefore
humbly pray that the Benefit of
the said Appeal may be saved unto
them And that the Hearing and
Determination thereof may be
adjourned untill the next General
Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be
holden for the said City
And your Petitioners shall ever pray Etc.
