<p n="319">That your Petitioners do with all Thankfulness<lb></lb>
Acknowledge the Justice and Protection which the Lord Mayor<lb></lb>
and Alderman of the City of London have been pleased to Shew<lb></lb>
them on all occasions particularly your Lordship and the<lb></lb>
Present Alderman of the said City Notwithstanding which<lb></lb>
Your Petitioners are compelled to inform your Lordship and the<lb></lb>
rest of the Justices That the said Journeymen Taylors have<lb></lb>
since the making and publishing the said Order entered into<lb></lb>
several unlawful Combinations and Confederacies to increase<lb></lb>
their Wages and absolutely refuse to Work at the Prices<lb></lb>
settled by the said Order to the great Detriment of your<lb></lb>
Petitioners and which will tend to the Destruction and Ruin<lb></lb>
of your Petitioners and their said Trade.</p>
<p n="320">Your Petitioners desireous to<lb></lb>
prevent such Exactions for the future<lb></lb>
most humbly Pray Your Lordship and<lb></lb>
the rest of the Justices to take the<lb></lb>
Premisses into Consideration and that<lb></lb>
You will be pleased to make such Order<lb></lb>
therein as to your Lordship and the rest<lb></lb>
of the Justices in your great Wisdom shall<lb></lb>
seem meet and proper.</p>
