maketh Oath That he this Depont. did on' Thursday the Third day of this
Instant July Go to the Lodging or house of and in the Neighbourhood of the prosecutor John Latter< no role >
being the Sign of the Black a Moore's head
in Gravel Lane
near Hounds ditch
London, and this Depont. did then and there Use his Almost Endeavoury to find out
the said Prosecutor so as to Sewe him Personally with the Copy of the Notice of
Tryal hereunto Annext, but this Depont. on the Stockest Enquiry and Pains by him
for that Purpose taken was not Able to Meet with him Personally so to do,
But this Depont. Saith that he did on the sd. third day of this Instant Tender and
Offer the sd. Copy of the sd Notice of Tryal hereunto Annexed to the wife of the said
John Latter< no role >
(and to the Landlord and Landlady who keeps the House wherein the sd.
Prosecutor Lodges) upon the said Premisses and this Depont. begged of them Severally
to Accept of the said Notice, which they all Severally Refused Absolutely to do,
and threatned to Kick the same into the Street, or Tread it under their Feet:
And this Depont. further Saith (that not being Able to Serve or Deliver the sd.
Notice of Tryal) in any better manner not with standing he Used his Utmost Endeavours
so to do)He this Depont. did therefore directly on the said third day of this Instant,
thrast the said Copy of the said Notice of Tryal till the same wayout of Sight,
under the Door of, and into the Chamber or Lodging Room of the sd. John Latter< no role >
Situate as above described, and there left the same, And Lastly this Depont. Saith
that the Wife of the sd. Prosecutr. John Latter< no role >
hath since Acknowledged the Receipt
of the sd. Notice of Tryal Patt under his Chamber door as aforesd. by him this Depont.
