Depositions taken on behalf of our Sovereign Lord the
King at the Parish of St Olaves in the Ward of Bridge
the 20th. day of January 1755 on View of the Body of
one Stephen Bourne< no role >

James Stamp< no role > of the Parish of St. Olaves in the Ward
of Bridge London Servt . to Mr. Basil Denn< no role > being
duly sworn on his Oath Saith that about half an hour
after four of the Clock in the afternoonof theon
Tuesday the Fourteenth day of this Instant January
he saw the deced Stephen Bourne< no role > standing Close up
up to the shew Glasses belonging to [..] of the said Basil
Denn at his House on London Brideandin order to
gave himself from being hurt by a Dray loaded
with eight Barreles drawn by three Horses
And Saith that he saw the Fore plank of the sd.
dray on the near side strike against the deced
Stomach, and the deced fell to the Ground
imediately and the near Wheel of the said Dray
run over his thigh, back, Shoulder, and head, and
Says that the said Deced make a Small motion
of his Body and then dyed and this Depont
imediately called out and said the man is Dead,
And saith that the Driver of the said Dray
was on the near side thereof driving the Horses
but which Horse he had hold of Particularly can't
say, and says that the Number of the Dray was
2051. and the Housen of the Horses were
marked J.P.
