THE Examination of Elizabeth Rose< no role >
committed to the London Workhouse as a
Rogue and Vagabond apprehended by James
Adams
< no role > Constable
in theof
in the said City, and brought
before me one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the said City. Taken this 31
Day of August 17 52 .

Who on her Oath saith, that She is about twenty Six years
of Ago and is the wife of William Rose< no role > a Labourer
who left her destitute Several years ago, And Saith
That as She hath been informed by him & believes He
was (whilst a Singleman) a yearly hired Servant to one Mr.
Maynard a Distiller in the parish of Saint Botolph
without Aldersgate London With whom he lived
upwards of one year at yearly Wages

And hath not since obtained any other subsequent Settlement to
this Examinant's Knowledge or Belief.
