The King agt. John Jones< no role > and others

John Jones< no role > one of the Defendants names in this
Indictment maketh Oath that he is Barrack Master
of the Tower which is a Place of forty pounds a year Salary
and no more and hath an allowance if twelve pounds a year for repairing the Bedding and that he this Deponent hath &
Wife and four Children to maintain thereout and
his Wife is now big with Child and hath no other Income or Estate than as aforesaid And Asher Jones< no role > and
other of the Defendants in the said Indictment maketh
oath that he was a Clerk to a Jeweller and hath been
out of a employ ever since Christmas last and hath been
long ill and nothing to live upon or maintain himself
by save and except the Profits of his said late
Imploy And the Deft. James Bush< no role > make Oath
that he hath a Place in the Drawing Room In the Tower of the
[..] Salary of Six Shillings and Six pence per
day pre tempore out of which this Deponent maketh
an allowance to a super anuated Ginner of ten,
Shillings each time the Tower Gums are fired, and
hath a Wife, and hath no other income or Estate to
maintain himself and Wife with than what
arises from his said Place And all the said Defendants
humbly submit their Case to the Court and pray to be
fined as the Court shall think fit but humbly hope
it may be as small as the nature of the offence will
admit, and humbly beg not to be Imprisoned as
they will thereby be deprived of getting their
Bread
