THE Examination of Mary Brown< no role > This name instance is in set 3548.
committed to the London Workhouse as a
Rogue and Vagabond apprehended by John
Boe Constable wandering and begging
in the parish of Saint
Christopher in the said City, and brought
before me one of His Majesty's Justices of
the Peace for the said City. Taken this 13th
Day of November 175 1 .

Who on her Oath saith, that she is a Singlewoman about
Seventeen years of Age and is the Daughter of
John Brown< no role > a Soldier deceas'd And that she this
Examinant was born in the parish of West Port
in the City of Edenburgh in that part of Great
Britain called Scotland as she hath been
redibly informed and believes

And hath not since obtained any subsequent settlement to this
Examinant's Knowledge and Belief.
