Bill found October Session 1750
Indictment sets forth That Deft. late of London
Bricklayer
on the first of Janry. in the 23rd. Year
of George the Second & continually afterwards untill the taking the Inquisition with force & Arms at
London
in Parish of St. Bridget otherwise Bride
in the Ward of Farringdon
without in London aforesaid
did & yet doth keep & Maintain a certain ill governed & disorderly house & in the said House for his
own Luere & gain certain evil & ill disposed Psons as well Men as Women of evil Name fame and
Conversation to frequent & come together then & divers other days & times during the time aforesaid there
unlawfully did wilfully cause & procure And the Said persons in the said house at unlawfull times
as well in the Night as in the day then & there to be & remain tippling whoring & misbehaving themselves
unlawfully & wilfully did & yet doth permitt To the great Damage & common Nusance of all the
liege Subjects of our said Lord the King and agt. the peace of our said Lord the King his Crown & Dignity
