At the General Quarter Session of the Peace holden for
the City of London by adjournment at the Guildhall within
the said City on Tuesday the twenty Second day of January
1744 in the Eighteenth Year of the reign of our sovereign Lord
George the Second King of Great Britain Etc. before Henry Marshall< no role >
Esqr . Mayor of the City of London Sr. Simon
Urlin
< no role > Knt . Recorder of the said City Sir John Thompson< no role >
Knt . Sir Robert Willimott< no role > Knt . Aldermen of the said
City and others their fellows Justices of our said Lord the
King Assigned to keep the Peace of our said Lord within
the said City and also to hear and Determine Diverse
Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds Committed within
the said City

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Saint Luke in the County of Middlesex
Exhibited their Humble Petition & appeal at this General
Quarter Session of the Peace Setting forth that by Virtue of
an Order or Pass Warrant Under the Hands & Seals of Two of
his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said City of London
(one being of the Quorum) bearing Date the thirteenth day
of December 1744. Whereby Mary Belcher< no role > Singlewoman
was Removed from the Parish of Saint Botolph Bishopsgate
London to the said Parish of Saint Luke in the sd. County of
Middlesex Alledging the said Parish of Saint Luke to be
the Last Legal Settlement of the said Mary Belcher< no role > And
that the Petitioners Conceiving Themselves Aggieved by the
said Warrant or Order of the said Two Justices Do therefore
Appeal therefrom Whereupon at the Request of the
appealants and by the Agreement of the Respondts. It is
Ordered that the Benefit of the said Appeal be saved unto them And that the
hearing & Determineing thereof be and the same is hereby
Adjourned Untill the next General Session of the Peace to
be holden for the said City of London on Monday the twenty
fifth day of February next Ensuing And the same is by
this Court Adjourned Accordingly.
