Indictment Sets forth at length a Latitat into London Issued & dated 23d: Apl: 13th Year of the King agt. Thomas
Pearce
< no role > & John Doe< no role > at the Suit of Thos: Ardin< no role > for £110 upon promise returnable on Wednesday next after one Month from
Easter Day on which Writ the Sum of £96: & 11s was on the 30th: of same Month indorsed in order to hold sd Pearce to Bail for
that Sum by Virtue whereof Pease on the 12th: of August in the 14th: Year of the King at London in his Majty's Goal of Newgate
was lawfully in the Custody of George Heathcote< no role > Esq & Sir John Lequesne< no role > the Sherriffe of London for the Cause in said
Writ menconed.

Sets forth at length a Non Omitt as (a Sa out of the Exchequer into Middex issued & dated 25th: June in the 14th:
year of the King agt. James Moor< no role > als Le Moor for £2290:4s at the King Suit returnable 23d: Oct then next by
virtue of which Writ sd: Moor 12th: of August in the sd: 14 Year at London in his Majtys Goal of Newgate (being his Majtys for
Middx:) was lawfully in Custody of sd. George Heathcote< no role > & Sr : John Lequesne then Sherriff of Middx: for the Cause in the
Writ menconed

Sets forth at length a Non Omittas Capias out of the Exchequer into Middx: issued & dated 28 July in sd: 14th: Year
agt: John Waters< no role > for £2200 Forfeiture upon an Information by the Att Genl: returnable 23d: Octr then next on which
Writ to hold sd: Waters to bail was (at the time of Suing out thereof) indorsed £400 by Virtue whereof sd: Waters was afterwds:
to wit 12 Augt: in sd: 14 Year in his Majtys Goal of Newgate (then being the Goal for the sd: County of Middx) lawfully in
Custody of sd: George Heathcote< no role > & Sir John Lequesne then Sherriff of Middx: for the Cause in sd: Writ menconed

That Deft Wood well knowing the premes on the sd: 12th: of Augt. in the Parish of Christ Church in the Ward of Farringdon
within in London unlawfully did bring in & convey & caused to be brought in & conveyed into sd: Goal of Newgate & to be there
delivered to Willim: Frankland< no role > for the use of the sd: Thos: Pearce< no role > James Moor< no role > otherwise Lemoor< no role > & John Waters< no role > one bore spring
Saw & two Files to the intent sd: Thos: Pearse< no role > James Moor< no role > otherwise Lemoor & John Waters< no role > should by the use & help of sd: saw &
Files break sd: Goal & escape & go at Large to the Evil Example Etc & agt. the Peace Etc

Case

Pearce Moor & Waters menconed in Indictment being 8 Prisoners for Debt in Newgate & the Deft Wood and old
Acquaintance of theirs made them frequent Visits & that part of the Goal where they usually were called the Common Debtors
side, And during these Visits they had various Consultations how to break the Goal & perfect their Escapes

On Sunday the 10: Augt. last abt: 5 in the Evening Deft Wood came to these sd: 3 Persons in the comon Debtors side & in
a little room called Jack Ketches< no role > Kitchin these 4 Persons were together consulting & contriving abt: an hour And one Wm.
Frankland
< no role > (who is an old Prisoner for Debt in the same place) walking backwards & forwards & imagining what
Design they were upon was beckoned to by Waters to come to them.

Upon which Franckland went to them & they let him into their Scheme & Wood then promised to bring them the
next Day (being Monday) 3 Saws 3 pair of Pistolls & a Rope to break through the little Room that adjoyns to the
