Prosecutors maketh Oath That on the Seventh day of October Instant
the Notice hereunto Annexed was Left at the said John Pattersons< no role >
Chambers in Guildhall Yard London as this Deponent was informed
and verily beleives And this Deponent furthersaithmaketh Oath that he
this Deponent did on the Eleventh day of the same Month of October
make Diligent Inquiry after John Carnes< no role > one of the persons in the said
Notice mentioned in Rosemary Lane in the County of Middlesex by
Asking for him at all or by farr the Greatest part of the Victualling
or Alehouses in the said Lane And also at Bakers shops and other
Shops in the said Rosemary Lane and was told at all such Places
that they knew of no such Person by the Name of John Carnes< no role > or
Carnes that Lived or that kept any Victualling or Ale house in the
said Street And this Deponent Verily beleives that if any person
by the Name of John Carnes< no role > or Carnes had Kept any Victualing or
Ale house in the said Lane or Street for any time before such
this Deponents Inquiry he must have heard of him
