Whereas Complaint hath been made unto Us two of
his Majesties Justices of the Peace for this City and the
Liberties thereof by (one being of ye Quorum) by You the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Martin
Vintrey [..] London That Edward
White
< no role > Sarah< no role > his wife and their three Children to wit, Elizabeth< no role >
Aged Nine Years & Upwards John< no role > Aged four Years And Mary< no role >
Aged two years are
lately come to reside in your said Parish not having obtained any
Legal Settlement there and are likely to become chargeable
thereto unless timely prevented Which Complaint We judge to
be true and for as much as it appears unto Us by the Oath of
The Sd Edward White< no role > that about twenty years Ago he was
bound to & did Serve five years part of his Apprentiship
with Mr. Insess Merchant in the Sd Parish of Saint Dionis
Backchurch London
And no other subsequent Settlement appearing unto Us We the
said Justices are of opinion and do Adjudge the last Legal
Settlement of the said Edward White< no role > Sarah< no role > his wife and their
three Children, to wit Elizabeth John and Mary
to be in the said Parish of Saint Diones Backchurch London
And that thirtherto they ought by Law
to be sent

These are therefore in his Majesties Name to Will and
Require You the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of Saint Martin Vintrey
London forthwith to Remove and Convey the said Edward
White Sarah his wife and their three Children above named
from and out of your said Parish unto the said Parish of Saint
Dionis Backchurch London
And them deliver unto the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor there or one of them Who is and are hereby required
to Receive and Provide for them according to Law Given
under our hands and Seals this Thirdday of March
In the Year of our Lord 1734
