The Information of Frances Crowder< no role > at No. 8 in Figg Tree Court in the Temple
Widow taken upon oath & acknowledg'd before me the day & Year herein before
mention'd

This Informt. saith, yt. she was well Acquainted with the sd. Mrs. Duncombe & yt. the Tankard now
Pduct & shown to this Informt. at this ye. time of her Exacon was the Tankard of the sd Mrs
Duncombe And further Saith not

The Information of John Carroll< no role > of the Inner Temple London Esqr taken upon
Oath & acknowledg'd before me the day & Year herein before mention'd

This Informt. saith, that on Sunday last aboutNow12 of the Clock at night he came home to his
Chambers in ye. Temple & finding his Laundress (Sara Malione) there, askt her if she had
heard of any Pson that was Suspected of [..] having Comitted the Murder aforesaid, where
upon the sd Sarah made answer that a Gent . who liv'd in ye same stair Case with Mrs Duncombe
had left his Chambers two or three dayes before, wch Gave a Suspition of him, That the sd.
Sara in Conversacon thereupon told this Informt. yt. she was well Acquainted with Mrs. Duncombe
& used to be Conversant with her,WhereuponAnd then this Informt. declar'd yt. he wod. have in manner
of Concern with any Pson that had been Intimate with that Gentlewoman Whereupon this
Informt. sent for the Watch & in their Prsence order'd her to look up his things, who told this Informt.
she had Pawnd Come of 'em for two Guineas but wod. Redeem 'em, & whilst this Informt.
was Looking over his Clothes as aforesd. he found there was some Linnen that did not belong
to him, wch he bid her take away & go out of the Chambers, & upon this Informts. further
Searching sevll. places In his Chambers he found in ye. Pan of his Close Stool some bloody
Linnen under wch was the Tankard (with the handle bloody) now Pduct to this Dept.
Whereupon this Informt. order'd the Watchman to go & find out the Said Sara & bring her
to him & when she was brot. buck, this Informt. Charg'd her with ye. Watch on a suspition of
being Guilty or Concern'd in the sd. Murder
