Whereas Complaint hath been made unto Us two of
His Majesties Justices of the Peace for the City and the
Liberties thereof (Quorum unus) by You the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Nicholas
Cole AbbyLondon That John
Well beloved and Mary< no role > his wife with their Two
Children Vizt. John< no role > Aged about Six Years and
Benjamin< no role > Aged about Two Years are
lately come to reside in your said parish not having obtaind any
Legal Settlement there and are likely to become chargeable
thereto unless timely prevented Which Complaint We judge to
be true and for as much as it appears unto Us by the Oath of
the said John Well beloved< no role > that about Thirteen Years agoe
he was Yearly hired Servant with Mr Sergeant in the Parish
of Peter some in the County of Surry and lived with him for Severall
Years at Four Pounds P Ann Wages
And no other Subsequent Settlement appearing unto Us We the
said Justices are of opinion and do Adjudge the last Legal
Settlement of the said John Well beloved Mary his Wife
and their Two Children Virt. John and Benjamin
to be in the said of Peter some in the County of Surry
And that thitherto They ought by Law
to be sent

These are therefore in his Majesties Name to Will and
Require You the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of St. Nicholas Cole Abby
London forthwith to Remove and Convey the said John
Well beloved Mary his Wife and their two Children
from and out of your said Parish unto the said Parish of St.
Pater some in the County of Surry
And Them deliver unto the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor there or one of them Who is and are hereby required
to Receive and Provide for Them according to Law Given
under our hands and Seals this Seventhday of April
Anno Domini 1731 .
