The Lord Mayor and Court of Aldermen of the City of London having by Your Lordship's orders received
Informaconby Your Lordships ordersthat Your Lordship has been applyed to from Several Justices of
the peace of the County of Middlesex in quarter Sessions Assembled
complaining that Some Applicaconhallhad been made toYour [..] the late Sd Chancellour
Whereby the inserting some of their names in the Comission of Goale
Delivery of Newgate had been prsented and that they have offered Several
matters to Your Lordships consideracon to aid use your Lord Ship to think
it reasonable that their expectacons may be answered in this pticular
for the time to come The Lord Mayor and the said Court doe humbly prsume
it was at their instanse thatyour Lordshipthe late sd Chancellour was pleased to pass the prsent
commission without inserting any other persons names than those therein
contained And as the Comissionthispass'd is not obly according to the Antient
but the Modern prsedents (except a very few instances the Prsedents of which
times are not for very just reasons to be much regarded) and as the Ends of the
Comission have always been hither to Sufficiently answered They humbly
beg leave to lay before your Lordship their Observatons on these resons wch.
they understand are offered to prvaile with your Lordship to make the alteracons
desired in the sd. Comission And they are Willing to pay all due regard to the
worthy Geat in the Comission of the peace for the County of Middlesex and
therefore are inclined to take notice of their consideracons in the Ordr. as
they have placed them.

Par 1.

That the Comicon of Goale delivery of Newgate is holden at the Old Baily
as well for the County of Middlesex as for the City of London and that since
the late Great increase of Inhabitants and buildings in the Suburbs there
