We find that Henry Cheap< no role > in the Indictment mentioned was
the Day therein mentioned by Vertue of a Warrant from One of
the Secretaries of State Seized by Nightingale, and Smith
two of his Majesties Messengers who askt the said Henry Cheap< no role >
whether he had any papers abt. him he answered he had None
but the Sd. Messenger telling him they must search whether
he had any he then desired to Withdraw, the Sd. Messengers
thereupon Searcht the sd. Henry Cheap< no role > and found the four
Scandalous Libels mentioned in the Indictment in his pockets
and also severall others of the same Libells to Wit in the whole
four of one sort three of another Sort and two a peice of the two
other Sorts which were also taken out of his Pockets at
the same time by the sd. Messengers, We find that the said
Henry Cheap< no role > Knowingly received all the said Libells printed
from a person unknown to Us but would given Account for
what purpose he received them, That he hath not delivered
the sd. Libells or any of them to any Magistrate, but that he
Kept them in his Custody, That the sd. Henry Cheap< no role > has been
formerly Convicted of publishing a Seditious Libel reflecting
on the King and Government But whether upon the whole
matter the sd. Henry Cheap< no role > be guilty of printing & publishing
the Libels mentioned in the sd. Indictment or either of them
[..] We know not and thereon Pray the Advice of
the Court and if the Court shall be of opinion that the sd. Henry
Cheap< no role > be guilty of printing or publishing of Sd. Libells or either of them
then We find him Guilty accordingly but of the Court shall be of opinion that
the sd. Henry Cheap< no role > be not guilty of printing or publishing ye sd. Libells
or either of them Then We find him Not Guilty accordingly
