The Information and Confession of John Rigby< no role >
aged about Seventeen Yeares taken upon Oath before
the Rt. Worshipfull Sr Willm. Withers< no role > Kt . and Alderman
and one of her Majestys Justices of the peace for
this City this 22d. day of February Anno Dm 1711/12

This Deponent Saith that one Henry Chapman< no role > not yet apprhended
comeing divers times under a prtence of Visiting this Depot who was
Servt . to Mr Nicholas Strange< no role > in whose House were divers Goods
in Tannks & a Portmantle Lock't all under Lock in a Press in
an appr Roome in the Sd. House, which said Chapman inquireing
Sevarll: times of this Depot. what was Contain'd in the aforesd Press
did about a month Since upon a Sabbath day come to the aforesd. House
of Mr Strange and then & there prvail'd upon this Dept. to Consent if
hee the Said. Chapman might break open the aforesd. Press, after which
hee the sd. Chapman for [..] the Lock alsoe of the Trunk & at Sevrll:
times took, & Carry'd away all divers Goods to a considerable Value
therein Contain'd; as alsoe the Portmantle which Goods were all
carry'd P him the sd. Henry ye Chapman to the house of Phabe Chapmn:
his mother as this Dept. verily believe hee having Severll: times
seen sevrll: at the sd. Goods in her House in her Possession, In Witnesse
whereof this Depot. hath put his hand the day and
yeare abovesaid.
