Whereas it appears unto us whose hands and Seales are
hereunto sett Two of her Maties Justices of the Peace for this City
and Libties thereof (Quor unus) upon the complaint of the Church
Wardens and Overseers of the Poore of the Pish of St Buttolph without
Bishopsgate within the limits aforesaid That one Jane Bruton< no role >
widdow of Thomas Bruton< no role > her late deced husband is come lately
into the said Parish with an intent to settle there without giveing
notice in writing to the said Church Wardens & Overseers of the Poore
or to any of them of the house of her abode in the said Parish as
by Law required: And whereas it appears unto us the Sd. Justices
that the said Jane Bruton is likely to become chargeable to the sd.
Parish of St. Buttolph without Bishopsgate by reason of her Poverty
And whereas it alsoe appears unto us the said Justices upon the
Oath of one John Downes< no role > , That the said Thomas Bruton< no role > was in his
lifetime a Housekeeper and an Inhabitant for sevall years together
in Spittlefields Hamlett in the Parish of St. Dunstan at Stepney in
the County of Middx, which is about six or seaven and Twenty years
agoe to the best of his remembrance, and it not appearing unto us
that either the said Thomas Bruton< no role > in his life time or she the sd. Jane
Bruton since his decease hath obtained any other legall settlement
since, Wee the said Justices doe therefore deeme and adjudge the said
Spittlefields Hamlett Sd Parish of St. Dunstan at Stepney in the
County of Middx to us the place of last legall settlemt of her the said
Jane Bruton, and whither by Law she ought to be sent

These are therefore in her Maties name strickly to charge & require
you the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the sd Parish
of St. Buttolph without Bishopsgate some or one of you forthwith on
sight hereof To receive and Convey the body of the St Jane Bruton< no role >
out of yor. said Parish unto the said Spittlefields Hamlet in the
Parish of St Dunstan at Stepney in the County of Middx, and
her deliver unto the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor there
or to some of them, who are hereby required her to receive and
Pvide for (As her necessities shall require) untill they shall be of
her discharged by due house of Law, and for soe doeing this sha [..]
be yor. Warrant and hereof you are not to faile at yor. Perills:
Given under our Hands and Seales this First day of August Ano
