These are to Certifie that Thomas Saunders< no role > of Newcastle upon Tine Gent Came
this day before me Sd. Ralph Carr< no role > Knight Mayor of the Said Town and County and
then and there upon his Corporall Oath did depose and make Oath that he upon the Tenth
day of August last by the order and upon the Account of Ambrose Cox< no role > and Tobitt Pope< no role > of the
Citty of London Merchants did Shipp on board the Good Shipp or Vessell the May Flower of
Whitby Thomas Bowmer< no role > Master from the Salt Paund att Southsheilds in
this Port of Newcastle the quantity of Three thousand Nine Hundred and
Twenty [..] Bushells of Salt to be Carryed on board the Said Shipp from the
said Port to the Citty of London aforesd. And the Said Thomas Saunders< no role >
further maketh Oath that upon the Said Tenth day of August he paid
to the Collector for the Salt in this Port the duty for the Said Three
Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty Busheffs of Salt according to the
Statutes in that Case made and provided In Witnesse whereof I
have hereunto sett my hand and Caused the Seale of the Mayeralty
to be putt this Fourteenth day of December in the Fourth Yeare
of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lady Queen Ann over England
