This Informt. William Tillear< no role >
of Colebrook
in the
County of Buckingham
Maketh Oath That this
Informt. haveing Lord diverse years last past been in
a great deal of trouble occasioned by the Non paymt.
of his Debts & was about five or six Years Since
wasarrested in London a hereupon this Informt was
removed by Habeas Corpus to the Fleet prison
where
heyouhave continued a prisoner ever since but by
the Indulgence of Mr. Ford the Keeper of the said
Goal he was admitted same times to Go at large
in order to Gain Some sort of a Livelyhood. and this
Informt. further Saith that about two Monthes since
one Habbard (to whome this Infomt. had formerly
confessed a Judgemt. by Virtue thereof Seized this
Informts. Goods in the County & thereby deprived
him of any means whereby to get a livelyhood.
Upon which this Informt. Designed to Crave the
benefit of the late Act of parliamt. for Discharge of
prisoners insolvent. Whereupon this Informt. was
advised to apply himself to one Mr. Broughton a
Coffeeman
in Jewen Street
London
who promised that
Informt. to provide a Man to Go in this Informts
stead into Her Majties. Service Psuant to the Sd. Act
if this Informt. would give him five [..] Guineas But
this Informt. told the said Broughton her thought that
five Guineas was too many whereupon the said
Broughton told this Informt. he would do it as Cheap
is he could upon which this Informt. has paid
the said Broughton at severall timethree
pounds & two Shillingstwo pounds & Seventeen Shillings or thereabouts on the
accounts aforesaid But when this Informt. Came to
Guildhall
on even dues day last in order to obtain his
Discharge as aforesaid the said Brought told this
Informt. that he had Gott one Capt. Young who would
Liss this Informt. but the Court would not allow ye Same
