Whereas Complaint hath bene made unto us [..]
two of his Majties Justices of the peace for said Citty
(Quorum Unus) by the Churchwardens and one seenes of
the pore of the pish of St Buttolphs Bishopsgate in the sd
Citty that one Eliza. Dennis< no role > wife of David Dennis< no role > deceasd
with one Mary Pitts< no role > is Lately Come Into the said pish with
Intente to Settle shew hemeing not as yett gamed any
Lagall Settlemt. and is Likely to become Chargeable to
them if not tymely prevented and whereas it apeares
unto us by the oath of Thomas Jackson< no role > Butcher of
the pish of St. Giles Criplegate that their Last Lagall
Settlement was in the sd. pish of St. Giles Criplegate wch in Middsx
was aboute Foureteene or Fiftene yeares agoe the sd
Dennis being then a house keeper in sd pish and never
Since gained any Lagall Settlement in any other
pish

Reguire you the Churchwardens or overseers of the pore
of the pish of St Buttolphs Bishopsgate To Take and
Convey the Bodys of the abovesd Elizabeth Dennis< no role >
and Mary Pitts< no role > Into the She pish of St Giles Criplegate
in ye Lordships [..] and there Leane [..] with the Churchwardins
or the overseers of the pore of said pish) And we doe
Strictly Charge & Command the Churchwardins and
of the pore of the pish of St Giles Criplegate Middsx to Recome the
Saide Elizabeth Dennis< no role > and Mary Pitts and provide
For them as they doe for their other pore Unless they Shall
thence be dischd by due Course of Lane and for the doeing
this shall be yours Sufficent Warrt. given under our
hands and Seales this Nintenth day of November
1698
