with his wife and three Children by Virtue of A
Warrant under the Hands & Seales of Two of his Maties. Justices of the Peace
in London (one being of the Quor) were sent to yor. Petrs. from from the pish St.
Gyles Criplegate London To be pvided for on the Oath of the said William
That hee was legally settled in the said parish of Christchurch
where hee
lived Two yeares and three moneths and on his own Account was called
forth and Didwatch there whereas in truth the said Wm. Paine< no role >
was only A
lodger in Swann Alley
And was never taken notice of or entred in any books
or Assessmt. as an inhabitant or charged wth. any Tape or rate to the Church
or Poore or to watch or ward wth. in the said Parish of Christchurch
