The humble petition of Reginald Heber< no role > Mercht .

Sheweth

That yor Petr. is an inhabitant in the Parish of St. James Garlickhith
London and payeth Forty pounds P Ann for his house there and likewise
all dutyes to the Church and poore in respect thereof And that he alsoe
holdeth A little yard behind his said house in which is a Shedd or roome
which lyeth in the Parish of the holy Trinity for which he payeth four
pounds yearly rent

That the Churchwardens of the said Pish of the Holy Trinity have
Taxed & Assessed yor. Petr. att 4 pence P weeke to the poore of their Pish
in respect thereof And yor. Petr. finding himself greived thereby The
same being an Extraordinary rate for such a value & not proportionable
to the rest of the Parish

His humble suite to yor. Honor. & Worpps. is That you
will be pleased to order the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the poore of ye said Parish of the Holy Trinity to
Appear before you wth. Their Bookes of Assessmt. last
made for the Poore And to lessen the said weekly rate
of 4d. To such a lesser rate As to yor. Honors. & Worpps
seem meete According to the Law.
