and sold him a Counterfeit halfe Crowne for which<lb></lb>
he received from the said David Vennable Eight pence and another<lb></lb>
pence of Mony as this informt: thinketh called by the name of a Peice of<lb></lb>
Eight being mixt Mottle for which he received Tenn pence that<lb></lb>
is for the two peeces together One Shilling and Six pence and amongst<lb></lb>
other discourse he the said Vennable told this Informant that he observed<lb></lb>
he was a poore man and he had a Minde to doe this Informant a kindeness<lb></lb>
and helpe him to the earning a Crowne to buy him a paire of Shooes<lb></lb>
and asked him where he lived he this Informt. told him that he often<lb></lb>
dranke att the Crowne and Sugar loafe in <rs type="placeName" id="LMSLPS15007_geo225">Bucklersbury</rs>

<p n="491">This Informt: further sayeth that the said <rs type="persName" id="LMSLPS15007_n491-1">David Venuable</rs>

came to the<lb></lb>
Crowne and Sugar leafe aforesaid on the last day of Aprill last and asked<lb></lb>
for this informant where he this Informant was, he the said David<lb></lb>
Venuable after Drinking a pott of Drink with this Informt: took him out<lb></lb>
of the house and gave him a gally pott and two pence and bid this<lb></lb>
Informt: to buy one penny worth of Aqua Fortis, and one pennyworth<lb></lb>
of Argill and bring itt to him att the Flying horse and Bell Ale house<lb></lb>
in Woodstreat which this Informt: accordingly did and imediately mett<lb></lb>
the said David Vennable there and from thence he took this Informant<lb></lb>
to the <rs type="placeName" id="LMSLPS15007_geo226">Bull Head Taverne</rs>

att which place he the said David<lb></lb>
Vennable mixed the Aqua Fortis the Argill and some burnt silver together<lb></lb>
and then urged this informant that he would bee secret which this Informant<lb></lb>
promised to bee in any thing (Treason Murder or Felony excepted) Then he<lb></lb>
the said David Venuable pulled out a paper of brass mony and desired this<lb></lb>
Informt: to wash itt over with the said Compound of Aqua Fortis Argill<lb></lb>
and burnt Silver and told him itt was no harme and that he would<lb></lb>
beare this Informt: harmeless which this Informt: refused being afraid<lb></lb>
so to doe, then he the said Venuable bid him Rubb the dirt <obscured></obscured>
of<lb></lb>
two or three peices which he did which peeces he the said David Venuable<lb></lb>
washed over with the said Compound of Aqua Fortis: Argill and Burnt Silver and<lb></lb>
imediately the Constable came into the Roome and seized the Informt: and the said <rs type="persName" id="LMSLPS15007_n491-2">David<lb></lb>
