Who sayes, that on Tuseday or Wednesday last, hee being informed
that severall Highway men, and Robbers were at the Kings
head Taverne
on osd Pish Streete Hill London, who were suspected
to be the Psons that, Comitted a Burglory in the house of
Madam Carter in the County aforesaid, And this Informt
designeing to apprehend them,
towent to the Constables
houseshopp, being on

told him of it, and received
[..] him to take helpe Enough to
apprehend them, which he refused to Doe, but did call two
men to his Assistance,
[..] & required this Informt freind present them to pay
them, And this Informt saye he did shew the said
Constable, the Psons that he suspected to have Comitted
the robbory aforesaid, and the said Constable did refuse
to apprehend them, by reason whereof the Psons
did escape, And this Informt sayes that they did apprehend on of the Psons
below stands, And that he told the said constable ye rest were above stayre & yt
he went to ye wound in which ye Place were, and shewed them to ye Constable

maker house to apprehend some suspeced Pson he
being above stayres met ye said Constable at ye stayre he [..] this Informant [..] , and
Shewedcald him the roome where they were, A and the
Constable went into ye roome to them, and came
out of the roome, againe, and [..] went downe stayres, And
this Informt. did here John Hooper< no role >
, the other Informt.
tell the said Constable; that these Pson were all in ye
Company of the Prisoner, that was seised belone stayres
for being one of the Psons was that was suspected to have Comitted the robbey
aforesaid,didbut the said Constable not takeing noticee
of Hoopers directade the Psons did escape
