but before he cod. well get out of ye passage a Watchman<lb></lb>
rang his Rattle & the first Object he saw was a<lb></lb>
light Resembling a Candle just lighted on the left<lb></lb>
hand side of the Hatter ShopSevl. Watchmen<lb></lb>
were got together endeavouring to force open the<lb></lb>
Door of the House & alarm the people within &<lb></lb>
the NeighbourhoodThe Flames got to a Head<lb></lb>
in ye space of about 2 or 3 Minutes after Informt<lb></lb>
first saw ye light, and just then observed two or three<lb></lb>
Persons come out at the Top of the House about<lb></lb>
Naked who went the House to the left hand</p>
<p n="1995">Saith that at the time he first observed the<lb></lb>
light it second to him from ye quick increase<lb></lb>
of the Flames that a Number of loose papers<lb></lb>
had been left together in the shop and by the spack<lb></lb>
of a Candle or some such Matter dropping among<lb></lb>
them had Communicated to the Hat Boxes and so<lb></lb>
caused the Fire to spread with such quickness<lb></lb>
not then<del>saith</del>
having any Idea it cod. he done<lb></lb>
willfully as Informt. was a total Stronger to that<lb></lb>
