Lukes. That from the twenty seventh day of August<lb></lb>
last by the Order of his Master he has been employed<lb></lb>
on the Repair of a House belonging to Mr. James Cranch<lb></lb>
at Bishop Bonners at <rs type="placeName" id="LMOBPS45024_geo924">Bethnal Green</rs>

That since he has been there at Work, at different<lb></lb>
times there hath been feloniously Stolen several pieces<lb></lb>
of Lead the property of the said James Cranch from the<lb></lb>
said House, and which had been taken off the Top<lb></lb>
of the House by some of the Worksmen, where it<gap reason="illegible"></gap>

had been placed as a Gutter. That he verily believes<lb></lb>
and suspects that one <rs type="persName" id="LMOBPS45024_n1438-3">Joseph Freeman</rs>

who was likewise employed in repairing the said Houses<lb></lb>
was concerned in stealing the said Lead, That he was<lb></lb>
informed by Mr. Cranch last Night that he had found<lb></lb>
some of his Lead in a Bag concealed in a Ditch in a<lb></lb>
field near the House and that the Person who had taken<lb></lb>
it had left it there, with Intent to take it way at another<lb></lb>
Opportunity, that he had taken the Lead of out of the Bag<lb></lb>
and had filled it with Bricks, and desired this Informing<lb></lb>
to watch and defect the Person who should come<lb></lb>
to take it away. That this Examinant waited near</p>
