AN INQUISITION indented, Taken for our sovereign Lord the King, at the Parish of
[..] in the County of
Middlesex , the [..] Day of August in the [..] Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God of Great-Britain, France, and
Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas Phillips< no role >
one of the Coroners of our said Lord the King for the said County, on View of the Body of
Thomas Balingal< no role > then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of
Jacob Engelback< no role > , John Grealorex< no role > , William Carbinal< no role > George Young< no role > , William Gorton< no role > , William Guthrie, Walter

good and lawful Men of the said County, duly chosen, and who being then and there duly
sworn and charged to inquire, for our said Lord the King, when, how, and by what Means, the
said Thomas Balingal< no role > came to his
Death, Do, upon their Oath, say, That The said Thomas Balingal< no role > on the sixth Day
of August in the Year aforesaid being on Board a certain Ship called The Louisa then
lying on The River Thames near Saint Catherine's Stairs in The Precinct and County
aforesaid It so happened That he the said Thomas Balingal< no role > then and there accidentally
casually and by misfortune fell down the main Hatchway of the said Ship into the
Hold thereof By means whereof He the said Thomas Balingal< no role > then and there received
divers Mortal Bruises in and upon the Head and Body of him the said Thomas
Balingal of which said Mortal Bruises he the said Thomas Balingall< no role > then and
there died And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid Do say That the
said Thomas Balingal< no role > in manner and by the means aforesaid accidentally casually
and by misfortune came to his Death

IN WITNESS whereof, as well the said Coroner as the said Jacob Engelback< no role >
the Foreman of the said Jurors, on the Behalf of himself and the Rest of his said Fellows, in
their Presence, have, to this Inquisition; set their Hands and Seals, the Day and Year first
above written.
