Informations of Witnesses taken this twenty first
day of November One thousand Seven hundred and
Eighty five in the Parish of SaintJohnJames Clerkenwell
in the County of Middlesex at the
Dwelling House ofLodge of The House of Correction
the Sign of Clerkenwell Bridewell Before me Edward
Umfreville
< no role > Esquire One of his Majestys Coroners for
the said County touching the Death of Ann Roston< no role >
then and there lying Dead as follow.

Elizabeth Stacy< no role > now a prisoner in sd. House of Correction
being on Oath Saith the has been a prisoner twelve
Months that the deceased was in the Prison when
she came and how known has ever since That the
deceased has been in a poor State of health the
whole time that she fietted much at her friends
not coming to see her That on Friday the eighteenth
instant She was taken very ill about Noon and
continued so until about Six O'Clock in the Evening
when She died. and Saith that the believes that by
continual frotting the deceased brought upon her a
Slow fever which gradually were her away and
was the Cause of her Death. and no other Cause
whatever.
