Informations of Witnesses taken at the Dwelling House of
George Sheffield< no role > ,the Sign of the Three Horse Shoes
in the Parish of Finchley in the County of Middlesex on
Fridaythe twenty eighth Day of April1786 Before
Edward Umfreville< no role > Esquire one of his Majesty's Coroners for the said County
touching the Death of John Bayley< no role >
then and there lying Dead as follow

Joseph Beach< no role > Labourer a Lodger at the abovementd House
Upon his Oath Saith That on Wednesday Morning last
about two O Clock. two Men in the read called out [..]
Informant got up. and Saw two Men and a
Man lay down andthesaid have you got a
drunk an Man the two Men Said for Gods
sake get up and take the Man in or he
will be perished fit then raning very hard
Informant came down Stairs and the two
Men brought in they then asked the Man
who was the deceased whose he was [..]
overhe Said just below his bowelssoon
afterwards the two Men went on to Town
Saith that the deceased appeared to be a
Waggoner and that the other two were also
Waggoners and had all been during each a
Waggon and Horsesbelonging Thos. Pickford
Master and owner of The Waggons (which one
Manchester Waggons) who lives at Market
