Informations of Witnesses taken this tenth
day of November One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty
five in the Parish of West Drayton
in the County of Middlesex at the Dwelling House of
James Morcer< no role > the Sign of the Swan
Before me Edward Umfreville< no role > Esquire one of his Majesty's
Coroners for the said County touching the Death of
William Watts< no role > the Elder then and there lying Dead as
follow

Elizabeth Watts< no role > of West Drayton aforesaid Spinster
On her Oath Saith that the deceased was her Father with whom
she lived. that he has been for three Wester past in acery
low Spirited way which Deponent and the west of his Family
endeavoured to remove by encouraging him to be cheerfull.
but he continued in same way and gave as a reason for
it that he thought he shod. come to want. That on Wednesday
the Ninth instant about three O' Clock in the Morning the
deceased being in Red in his own room adjourning this Deponents got up and came Ano. her room which scoprize
her and she asked him where he was going he told her to
the Necessary & asked him of he wos. have a Candle but
he said No. however Deponent stuck a light and lighted
a Candle and desired her Sister Susannah who Slept
with her to put the Candle in ye Window That he
night we his way but Hen being be staid a long true
Deponent called to her Brother Thomas. who went
down with Deponent to the Necessary but not finding
the deceased. there- Deponent held up ye Candle and [..]
her Brother immediately saw the deceased hanging on [..]
a Tree in the Orchard said to Deponent Lord house Mercy Bet.
