[..] in the County of Middlesex , the [..] Day of [..]
[..] of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the third, by the Grace of God of Great Britain, France and [..] Defender of
the Faith, Etc. before Edward Umfreville one of the [..] of Our said Lord
the KING, for the said County, on view of the body of William Spikeman< no role >
then and there lying dead, upon the oath of William [..] , John
Twitchen, Henry Marshall< no role > , Edward Stone< no role > , John Watts< no role > , John Cooper< no role > , Edward
Hudnott, Wm Marriott< no role > , John Bilby< no role > , Stephen Watkins< no role > John Slade< no role > , William
Phelps
< no role > , Thomas Giddens< no role > , Edward Price< no role > and James Brown< no role >
good and lawful Men of the said County duly chosen as by Law required, and who being then and there duly sworn
and charged to enquire for our said Lord the KING, when, how, and by what means the said William Spikeman< no role >
came to h is Death, Do upon their Oath say, That the said William Spikeman< no role >
accidentally casually and by misfortune fell into The River Thames in the Parish
and County aforesaid and was in the Waters thereof then and there suffocated
and Drowned of which said Suffocation and Drowning he the said William
Spikeman then and there died and so the Jurors aforesaid upon their
Oath aforesaid Do say That the said William Spikeman< no role > in manner
and by the means aforesaid accidentally, casually and by Misfortune
Came to his Death

In Witness whereof, as well [..] the said Coroner, as the said William South< no role > the Foreman of
the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows, in their presence, have to this Inquisition set their
Hands and Seals the Day and Year first abovementioned
