An Inquisition indented taken for our [..] the parish of Saint Mary Le Bone
in the [..] Middlesex , the twenty ninth Day of December in the 22nd. Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the third , by the Grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland, KING, Defender of
the Faith, Etc. before Edward Umfreville< no role > one of the Coroners of Our said Lord
KING, for the said County, on. view of the body of Richard Goodenough< no role >
then and there lying dead, upon the oath of Robert Small< no role >
Alexander Ramsey< no role > John Binns< no role > Shadrack Johnson< no role > James Harris< no role >
James Short< no role > Edward Davis< no role > Peter Colbert< no role > Godfrey Poy< no role > Robert Hullat< no role >
Mark Haks< no role > and William Smith< no role >
good and lawful Men of the said County duly chosen as by Law required, and who being then and there duly sworn
and charged to enquire for our said Lord the KING, when, how, and by what means the said Robert Lowall< no role >
came to h is Death, Do upon their Oath say, That the said Richard
Good enough not being of sound Mind Memory and Understanding out Lunatic
and distracted in the Twenty second Day of December in the Year aforesaid
at the Parish and in the County aforesaid a certain Pistol charged with
Gun powder and a Leadon Bullet which he the saidRobert [..] Richard Goodenough then
and there had and held in his Right Hand to at and against the Head
of him the said Richard Goodenough< no role > did then and there shoot off and discharge
By Means whereof he the said Richard Goodenough< no role > did then and there
Good unto himself with the Leaden Bullet aforesaid so shot off and discharged
out of the Pistol aforesaid by the Force of the Gun powder aforesaid One
Mortal Wound, Of which said Mortal Wound he the said Richard
Goodenough then and there died And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath
aforesaid Do say That the said Richard Goodenough< no role > not being of sound
Mind Memory and Understanding but Lunatic and distracted in Manner
and by the Means aforesaid Did kill himself

IN WITNESS whereof, as well as he said Coroner, as the said Robert Small< no role > the Foreman of
the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows, in their presence, have to this Inquisition set their
Hands and Seals the Day and Year first abovementioned
