in the County aforesaid who being and
here duly chosen Sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the King when how
and in what manner the said

came to his death say upon their
oath that the said
Joseph Brand< no role >
on the twenty fifth day of June in the year aforesaid
being walking on the Battlements of London bridge
situate in the parish of Saint
Magnus the Martyr
in the ward of Bridge in the City of London
[..] It so happened that
the said

accidentally casually and by misfortune fell from and off the
said battlements down against and upon one of the Sterling of the said Bridge by
means whereof the said

did then and there receive divers mortal
bruises in and upon his, body of which said mortal bruises he the said Joseph
Brand as well at the said parish of Saint Magnus Martyr in the ward of
Bridge
in London
aforesaid as also at the abovementioned parish of Saint Thomas
within the Borough
and County aforesaid did languish and languishing did live
and on the same day and year last aforesaid at the parish last aforesaid in the
Borough aforesaid in the County aforesaid the said

of the said mortal
bruises did die And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say that
the said

in manner and by the means aforesaid accidentally casually
and by misfortune came to his death and not otherwise.In Witness whereof

the foreman of the said
Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his fellows in their presence have to
this Inquisition set their hands and Seals the day year and place first above
