Depositions of Witnesses taken as London
that is to say, as the Parish of St. Catherine
Cree Church in the Ward of Aldgate in
London aforesaid this 31st day of March
1798 on view of the body of Sarah Gascoigne< no role >
now here lying Dead.

Robert Rayner< no role > of No. 2 Aldgate London Tobacconut
maketh Oath that the deced Sarah Gascoigne< no role > has lived
as a servant with him about five years That a little
after five yesterday afternoon Dept. wrong his Bell for
one of his Servants no one answering Dept. went up toIta
two pair of Stairs back Room wherein the deced used
to lay that the Door was open Dept. went into the Room
that the deced was hanging by a piece of Cord fastened
to the top of the foot part of the Bedstead-Dept. turned
backwent and called to his Mr. Bones Packlinwent
down Stairs and two of Dept. Men went with Dept. up
to the Room again & the Min cut the deced down
Dept. then went down Stairs & sent for a Surgeon a Mr. Jone
who with Dept. went upto the deced Mr. Jones examined
the deced that she was cold and Dead Dept. says the
deced brought him some Coals into his Room about four
oClock previous to his finding he as above stated Dept.
says the deced hasasfor this week or ten Days past behaved
in a strange violent manner and Dept. thinks and believes
from the whole of her conduct for this week or ten Days
past she has been rather deranged Dept. say, the deced
was the only Woman Servant he had That he has three Men
Servants that lodge and board in the House.
