An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London (that is today,
at the parish of Saint Giles without Cripplegate in the Ward of Cripplegate without in London
aforesaid on the thirteenth day of September in the thirty sixth year of the reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the third by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the
faith and so forth before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King for
the City of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the body of George Deal< no role > now
here lying dead by the oath of Samuel Thorowgood< no role > William Blake< no role > William Walbarke William
Newell James Hall< no role > Clement Poole Daniel Griffin James Jones< no role > Matthew Hillback James
Scott James Black< no role > Thomas Kemble< no role > William Walker< no role > Joseph Knott< no role > Thomas Read< no role > Joseph
Reynolds and Josiah Harvey< no role > good and lawful men of the City of London aforesaid who
being now here duly chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the King when
how and in what manner the said George Deal< no role > came to his death say upon their oath
that the said George Deal< no role > on the twelfth day of September in the year aforesaid being
employed in papering certain window lights belonging to a certain shop of one
Newell there situate It so happened that the said George Deal< no role > accidentally casually and by
misfortune fell to the ground there by means whereof the said George Deal< no role > did then and there
receive one mortal fracture of the scull of him the said George Deal< no role > of which said mortal
fracture he the said George Deal< no role > did then and there instantly dieAnd so the Jurors
aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say that the said George Deal< no role > in manner and by
the means aforesaid accidentally casually and by misfortune came to his death and
not otherwiseIn Witness whreof as well the said Coroner at the said Samuel Thorowgood< no role >
the foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his fellows in their presence
have to this Inquisition set their hands and seals the day year and place first abovewritten.
