Depositions of Witnesses taken at London
that is to say at the Parish of Saint Mildred
the Virgin in the Ward of Cheap in London
aforesaid this 5th. day of November 1795 on
view of the Body of David Rees< no role > now here
lying Dead

Samuel Lee< no role > [..] turnkey of the Poultry Compter Prison maketh
Oath that he hath known the deced David Rees< no role > about a Month
that he wasalsoa Prisoner in the said Prison and committed for
a Fraud that he was very ill when he was brought to the
Prison and appeared to be in a State of insanity that he continued
in that state until yesterday Morning when he departed this Life
that the Surgeon of the Prison saw the deced several times but sayed
he could do nothing for him.

Elizabeth Wife< no role > of Samuel Pincott< no role > a Prisoner [..] in the Poultry
Compter maketh oath that she hath [..] attended the deced
daily since his commitment. that he was very in mine sometimes
Moving that he was so Raving that he was obliged to be confined
in a Room by himself and his Victuals taken to him that he
often stripped himself and colouring the last Week tore all his
Cloaths and Bed Cloaths to pieces Dept. saw him Yesterday
Morning about nine oClock or ½ an hour after that he had
scarcely any Cloaths on his at that time but appeared
sensible that about [..] eleven OClock Dept. not hearing the
deced move called for the Keys and one of the Keepers came
& opening the door and going in they found deced dead lying
on his face.
