An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London that is to say at the
parish of Saint Margaret Lothbury in the Ward of Broad street in London aforesaid on the thirteenth day
of August in the thirty fifth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the grace of God of
Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth before Thomas Shelton< no role >
Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King for the City of London and Borough of Southwark on view of
the body of Anthony Pearce< no role > now here lying dead by the oath of Arthur Edic William Barlow< no role > Michael
Leeming Thomas< no role > Hawkes Thomas< no role > Seawell David< no role > Meldrum William Kitchener< no role > George Black< no role > Jeremich
Hobson William Hodgson< no role > Joseph Pofyoy and George Kingthorne good and lawful men of the
City of London aforesaid who being now here duly chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said
Lord the King when how and in what manner the said Anthony Barce< no role > came to his death say upon
their oath that the said Anthony Pearce< no role > on the twelfth day of August in the year aforesaid
being walking in his sleep about three in the night of the same day in a certain Bedroom
situate up three pair of stairs in the dwelling house of onePearce there situate It so happened
that the said Anthony Pearce< no role > accidentally casually and by misfortune fell from and out of the Window
of the said bedroom down and upon the stone pavement in a certain yard belonging to the said dwelling
house by means whereof the said Anthony Pearce< no role > did then and there receive divers mortal briuses
in and upon divers parts of his body of which said mortal bruises the said Anthony Pearce< no role >
did then and there die And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say that the
said Anthony Pearce< no role > in manner and by the means aforesaid accidentally casually and by misfortune
came to his death and not otherwise In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Arthur
Edie the foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his fellows in their presence
have to this Inquisition set their hands and seals the day year and place first above written.
