Southwark Information of Witness taken at the
parish of Saint George within
the Boro. of Southwark in the County
of Surrey this 24 July 1795 a
view of the body of John Carlisle< no role >
there lying dead

James Harris< no role > of Kent Street Southwark Spinner
maketh oath that last Tuesday morng. about half
past five o'clock Dept went to the Spinning ground of Mr. Allen< no role >
in Kent road where Dept works when he found the deced
setting down. he seemed to Dept as if he was doging,
& appeared to have been sick & to have some other a
good deal. He asked Dept if he could get him a bed
to lye down upon, & Dept recommended him to go & inquire
at some of the neighbouring public houses, but he did not
goSays that in the cause of half a hour he went
to a Hedge & cawd himself himSays he then began to
[..] a good dealDept that he was in liquor
Says his Master then came & went up to the deced £40
Dept he that he was dead. Dept then went up to him
& says the deced was then dead. Dept says to believes
[..] he saw the deced about an hour and a half before he
died. Dept says he yesterday found was where the deced
was a paper which he [..] now produces & which certains
a small quantity of whitish coloured stuff sayed to be
[..]
