London maketh Oath that he
hath known the deced

between four &
five years-that he was a Labouring Man & usually
worked at Fresh Wharf

That Yesterday Morning Dept. and the deced went on
board the Sloop called the Favourite belonging to Cork
in Ireland
but now lying at fresh Wharf
aforesaid
being employed to work at the Rigging of the said Vessel
that about seven OClock Yesterday Morn & Dept. & the
Mate of the said Vessel were employed about the
Rigging at the Mart head of the said Vessel-that
while they were so employed the deced came up part
of the Shrouds or Ropes headg from the Deck of the
said Vessel to the Mart head-that while he was
coming up the Shrouds the Mate told him he did
not want him for that he & Dept. could do what
there was to do at the Mart head-the deced then
stopt about three parts up the Shrouds having one
Land hold of the Shrouds-that he seemed to swing
there a little while when he let go his hold and fell
from the Shrouds against a Rail that goes along the
quarter or afterside of the Vessel & from thence into
the Water that he sunk immediately-that in about
a quarter of an hour after Dept. having got some
Crapers got the deced out of the Water that he was
warm but quite dead-that Dept. and some other
persons used means to bring the deced to but without
effect-Dept.believesapprehends that the deced
was taken with a swimming or giddiness
in the
head which occasioned him to let go his hold &
fall as before stated no person being near him at the
time
