An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London that
is to say at the parish of Saint Bartholomew the less in the Ward of Farringdon without
in London aforesaid on the thirtieth day of April in the thirty fifth year of the reign of
our Sovereign Lord George the third by the grace of God of Great Britain France and
Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner
of our said Lord the King for the City of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the body
of Maria Stanson< no role > now here lying dead by the Oath of Thomas Gill< no role > John Evans< no role > Michell
Wilkin Griffiths< no role > John Goater< no role > Thomas Whitford< no role > William Wheeler< no role > James Day< no role > Charles
Leader Gerrard< no role > Willett William Eadys James Bird< no role > & Thomas Brown< no role > Good and lawful
men of the City of London aforesaid who being now here duly chosen sworn and charged
to inquire for our said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said Maria
Stanson came to her death say upon their oath that the said Maria Stanson on the twenty
eighth day of April in the year aforesaid being on one of steps of the first flight of stairs
in the dwelling house of Lewis Flint< no role > situate in the parish of Siant Sepulchre in the
Ward of Farringdon without in London aforesaid and being much intoxicated It so happened
that the said Maria Stanson accidentally casually and by misfortune fell down the said
flight of stairs and against the stone pavement of a certain kitchen on the ground floor
of the said dwelling house by means where of the said Maria Stanson< no role > did then and
there receive one mortal fracture on the back part of the head of her the said Maria
Stanson of which said mortal fracture she the said Maria Stanson< no role > from the said
twenty eighth day of April in the year aforesaid until the twenty ninth day of the same
month of April in the same year and well at the said Harish of Saint Sepulchre in the
Ward of Farringeon without in London aforesaid as also at the said parish of Saint Bartholomew
the less in the said ward of Farringdon without in London aforesaid did lauguish and
languishing did live on which said twenty ninth day of April in the year aforesaid the
said Maria Stanson< no role > at the parish and ward last aforesaid in London aforesaid did die
and to-the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say that the said Maria Stanson< no role >
in manner and by the means aforesaid accidentally casually and by misfortune came
to his death and not otherwise In Witness where of as well the said Coroner as the said
Thomas Gell< no role > the Foreman of the said Jurors on behalf on himself and the rest of his
fellows in their presence have to this Inquisition set their hands and seals the day
year and place first above written
