Deposition [..] of a Witness [..] taken at London
that is to say, at the Parish of Saint Bridget
otherwise Bride in the Ward of Farringdon
without in London aforesaid this 15th. day
of January 1794 on view of the Body of
Samuel Cottell< no role > now here lying Dead

John Clark< no role > a Prisoner for Debt in his Majesty's Prison of the
Fleet maketh Oath that he hath known the deced Samuel Cottell< no role >
between seven and eight Months that he was also a Prisoner for
Debt. in the said Prison-that the deced has been deranged in his
Mind the whole of that time but being very in offensive was
not confined on account of it-that last week the deced appeared
very unwell but did not take to his Bed [..] until Monday Eve I
last when he appeared to have last the use of his rigth side
right Leg and Hand-that he continued confined to his Bed and
to get worse daily until Yesterday Morning when he departed this Life
that he was attended by a Surgeon during the last four five
Days of his illness-the Surgeon that attend [..] him sayed he
was apprehensive [..] a blood Vessel in the deceds Head had
broke and that might occasion his Death.
