Aaron Martin Confectioner and a Lodger at
No. 10 Bartholomew Court Arrow Alley Houn Entity
maketh Oath that he hath known the deced Joseph
Moses about five months-that the deced used to go
about the Street selling, Stick, and Slippers and
lodged in the Garvel in the same House where
Dept. lodges-that about one OClock on Friday Morng
last Dept. being then in Bed heard some thing fall
very heavy down the one pair of Stairs of said House
Dept. got one of Bed and took a Light and went out
[..] his Room to see what is way-upon going and
Dept. saw the deced lying with his Head on the
Floor of the Entry and his legs upon the Stairs
Dept. went to the deced and lifted him upon his
Bottom and called to an Old Woman who lodges in
the one pair of Stairs Room in same House who came
down and Dept [..] Wife having got a
Chair the Old Woman sat down in it and Dept placed
the deceds head in her Lap and went to one Bird
a Watchman whose stand was just by and Dept.
requested him to return to the House with Dept
that the Watchman went with Dept. to the House
and found the deced just as Dept. had left him
Dept. and the watchman then examined the deced
That he was quite in enable that his Breath smelled
very much as if he had been drinking-Dept observed
a little Blood to come from ever the deceds nights Eye
upon examining of it Dept found out over the right
Eyeand a Bruise upon Top Dept. of his Head-Dept and
Bird took the deced up to his Room and placed him
on his Bed and then Dept left him-that about eight
OClock the same Morning Dept. went up to the deceds
Room to see how he was that he lay in the same
situation as Dept. and Bird had left him that the
