An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London that is to say at the parish of
[..] Nicholas Olave in the ward of Queen he the in London aforesaid on the twenty seventh day of August inthe thirty
third year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and
Ireland King defender of the faith and so forth before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King
for the City of London & Borough of Southwark on view of the Body of Thomas Onslow< no role > Smith now here lying
dead by the oath of William Humphreys< no role > Junr John Horner< no role > William Gou [..] Joseph Wright< no role > John
Tuffnall Thomas Willcox< no role > John Niven< no role > James Evered< no role > John Field< no role > John Pearson< no role > William Gilkes< no role > John Hancock< no role >
John Griffin< no role > William Alger Frederick Gibson< no role > Edward Alexander< no role > Robert Suelgrove< no role > and Thomas Haydon< no role >
good and lawful men of the City of London who being now here duly chosen sworn and charged to inquire for
our said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said Thomas Dunslow< no role > Smith came to his Death say
upon their Oath that the said Thomas Onslow< no role > Smith not being of sound mind memory and understanding but
lunatic and distracted on the 26th day of August in the year aforesaid with a certain sword of the value of 1s which he in
his right hand had held in and [..] his formach die then and there strike stab and thrust giving to
himself the said Thomas Onslow< no role > Smith with the Sword aforesaid one mortal wound in and upon the Stomach
of him the said Thomas Onslow< no role > Smith of [..] said mortal wound he the said Thomas Onslow< no role > Smith did then and
there die. And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid [..] that [..] Thomas Onslow< no role > Smith
not being of sound mind memory and understanding but lunatic and distracted in manner and by the means aforesaid
did Kill himself In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said William Humphreys< no role > Junior the
foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and rest of his fellows in their presence have to this Inquisition set
their hands and seals the day year and place first above written.
