Deposition of Witnesses taken at London
that is to say at the parish of Saint Botolph
without Aldgate in the Ward of Portsoken
in London aforesaid this. 26th day of July 1793
on view of the Body of Thomas Arreskine< no role >
now here lying Dead

John Collison< no role > of No. 4 Somerset Street in the parish of Saint
Botolph without Aldgate London Glazier & Beadles of the
said Parish maketh Oath that [..] about ½ part ten O Clock
last Night in consequence of some information from Mr.
Abrahams of Petticoat Lane London Horner Dept. went to
said Mr. Abraham House< no role > that in a Shed in Mr. Abrahams< no role >
Yard Dept. found the deced (who was a Journey men to said
Mr. Abrahams) hanging by a Cord fastened round or Beam
in the Top of the Shed-that the deced was cut down and Dept
desirethat he was quite deadthat Dept. afterwards
acquainted the Ward Beadlethat the door of the shed was
Locked inside when Dept. went first found the deced and was broken upon in
Depts. presence

Sarah Magson< no role > Servant to Mr. Abrahams of Petticoat
Lane aforesaid maketh Oath that she hath lived with
Mr Abrahams about five years that she hath known the
deced the whole) of that timethat about thirteen Months
since the deced lost a Daughter who died as Dept. understood
in a decline that since that time the deced has been employed
setting up at Night to Watch Mr Abrhams premises while
a Wall was repairingthat since the deceds Daughter
died he has appeared very dull and Melancholy and
when Dept. has spoke to him he has appeared lost in
Thought, and would say he thought his Daughter was
with him and one time in particular since his Daughter
died the deced sayed he thought him Daughter had been
pulling him by the Coat.
