is to say, at the Parish of Saint Thomas within
the Borough
of Southwark
in the County of
Surrey this 6th. day of April 1793 on view of

a Porter lodging at the House of William
Hudson of No. 32 in the Maze in the Borough
of Southwark
Labourer
maketh Oath that about three in the afternoon
of yesterday Dept. standing near the Black Bull in the
Maze aforesaid saw a Woman [..] standing on the footway
with a Child in her Room and the deced standing by her
playing with a Ball that the deced threw the Ball
form him that the Ball fall into the Gather and the deced
went after it that at the same time a Cart drawn by
one Horses was passing by and the Horse [..] went
close by [..] the Ball that the the deced in endeavouring to
get at the Bell fell forwards in the Road and the Off
Wheel
of the Cart went near [..] the deceds Head. that
the Driver was siding in the Cart and had the Rein [..]
in his Hand and on the people crying out he immediately
stopt the Horse Dept. don't think the Driver saw the
deced but that on the people calling out he immediately
stopt the Horse. that some Person present took the deced
up Dept. went to the deced that the deced received an
injury upon the side of his Head that the blood came
out of his Ears and Now that the deced was taken to Saint
Thomas's Hospital
where Dept. has seen him lying
Dead this Evening-Dept. has been informed the deced
died soon after he was taken to the Hospital-Dept
has been informed the Cart and Horse belong to Mr.
