Depositions of Witnesses taken at London
that is to say, as the parish of Saint [..]
Bartholomew the less in the Ward of
Farringdon without in London aforesaid
the 27th. day of December 1792 on view of
the body of a Man unknown now here
lying Dead.

Elizabeth< no role > the Wife of Richard Rowe< no role > of the Cock Temple
Bar London Victualler maketh Oath that about a quarter
before seven in the Evening of Sunday last a Man whom
Dept. has since understood to be the deced followed a Gentl .
into Dept. house that the said man was prevented by Dept.
Waiter from following the deced gentt any farther the deced
being very much intoxicated no shoes on his feet no shirt
and his Cloaths very ragged the deced upon being stopped
by the Waiter asked for something to Drink but was refused
then went and sat down on a Bench in the passage leading
from the House into the street soon after on the Waiter informing
Dept. the deced was very much cut Dept. went to the deced
who was still sitting on the BenchDept. observed the deced
face to be very bloody Dept. got some Brandy and brown
paper and put it on the deceds forehead Dept. then observed
a cut under the [..] right Eye of the deced and a large Carton the
forehead above the Right EyeDept. in litter after again
put more Brandy & brown paper to the Coats the deced
then asked for something to drinkDept. directed some table
Beer to be given to the decedDept. [..] Waiter asked the
deced now he came by the pits the deced sayed he did not
know of any Cortsthat the deced soon after fell asleep
andafter hewhile he was sleeping he slipt off the Bench
that he was again placed on the Bench and was wakened
by Dept. Waiter that afer halfpence were given him and
he was asked were he lived but was so insensible he
could give no aceorintthe Beadle of the parish was then
sent for and the deced was taken away by the Beadle
in a Coach being incapable of walking and [..] in an insensible
state.
