LondonDeposition of Witnesses taken at London
that is to say, at the Parish of Saint Helen
in the Ward of Bishopsgate within in
London aforesaid the 6th day of September
1792 on view of the body of James Stevenson< no role >
now here Lying dead

William Hall< no role > of Crosley Square Bishopsgate Street
London [..] Packer Maketh Oath that Yesterday Morning
about seven OClock the deced James Stevenson< no role > attended
with a Cart drawn by one Horse belonging to Mr. Fenning
of Rood Lane London Faiter for the Purpose of taking into
the said Cart some Bales of Goods from Dept. there Room
Facing Crorby Square - That [..] a Bate of Sail Cloth
being in the Hooks Things Forth Purpose of being lowered into
the Cart [..] one of the Hooks that
was fastened to the Barley accidentally shipped and the Bale fell
into the Cart Dept immediately ran down into the
Square and found the deced lying [..] near the Pavement
next the Tail of the Cart upon his Back - his Legs and
hand extended - That he was quite in enable and
apeared to be [..] lying - Dept. examined the deced but
found no injury upon any part of his body but upon lifting
up the deceds head a great quantity of blood came from
the back part of his head [..] and it appeared that the
[..] injury the deced received was on the back part of his head - a Surgeon was sent for
but by the time a Surgeon came the deced was quite dead
